Cajah’s Mountain EMS Base
Atriax Group provided design-build services for the new 24/7 Emergency Medical Services facility for Caldwell County. The Town of Cajah's Mountain had waited 17 years for this EMS facility. Our team renovated an old doctor’s office into a $4.5M state-of-the-art facility that features a three-bay garage, sleeping quarters (4 bedrooms/8 beds), ambulance training area, and kitchen and lounge areas for responders to rest and recover. The greatest challenge was balancing these functional needs within the constraints of the existing structure while maintaining efficient circulation that allowed responders to reach their vehicles as quickly as possible. Through detailed planning, iterative design reviews, and close coordination with all stakeholders, we developed a layout that maximized efficiency and met the critical operational demands of the EMS team.
