Atriax developed programming and solicitation documents for future VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinics to support the growing military veteran population in the SE and MW. These planning projects included placing medical functions in two-story to four-story designs.

Project objectives:

  1. Create standard designs to incorporate multiple medical services for VA outpatient clinics, referred to as “Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) design modules.”
  2. Develop standard layouts for three outpatient clinics of graduating size using the design modules. Building areas are approximately 20,000 New Usage Square Feet (NUSF), 50,000 NUSF, and 80,000 NUSF.
  3. Ensure that standard layouts enable and promote off-site construction methods such as volumetric “modular” construction, panelized construction, etc.
  4. Confirm all functions meet all congressional approval requirements in medical operations and allowable facility size.
