Replace Main Water Loop
Services Provided: Project Management, Civil Engineering
The Atriax team developed a design for the replacement of the campus main water loop network. Approximately 6,900 LF of pipe were removed or replaced, including 8-inch, 6-inch and 4-inch diameter pipes. Dozens of new elbows, tees and gate valves were required to tie the new and existing network together. Approximately 1,500 square yards of asphalt parking lots and roadways were removed/replaced to install the new pipes. Construction phasing was used to create contiguous sections of work that served as bid deducts, limited road and parking lot closures, and in general minimized campus disruptions.
