Hurricane Maria Recovery—Single Family Permanent Housing Construction (PHC) Program

Atriax deployed initial staff on 2 Jan 2018, accelerating to six full time technical staff within weeks and maintained a continuous presence for 20 months with 60-80 hours/week/person work schedule. Staff consisted of licensed and unlicensed engineers and highly experienced supervisory construction staff with construction, building code, safety, costing, and management experience. Atriax imbedded with the prime contractor and FEMA staff, and established a functioning work environment in leased space with deployed and locally procured equipment and supplies, quickly building an effective control center where no management infrastructure previously existed. Atriax staff participated in initial assessments of home damage and validation of reconstruction estimates, which was part of the process to determine program eligibility of the homeowner. During construction, Atriax provided continuing QA through the design and construction process.
